All applicants will receive a reply from APMA, confirming the receipt of documents submitted, possibly including requests for additional documents to comply with APMA or university guidelines.
Complete applications are forwarded to the APMA Selection Committee. Decisions usually take around three to four weeks after the final application deadline.
Selection Results
The results of applications will be sent to all applicants via email, which can be one of the following:
- An offer of acceptance and scholarship (if you applied for a scholarship)
- An offer of acceptance without scholarship
- A letter informing the applicant of being waitlisted
- A letter informing of an unsuccessful application
Those who receive either offer letters must inform APMA of whether they accept of decline the offer. They must do so within a deadline specified in the letter, other wise the offer is deemed declined.
Those who are informed of being waitlisted have to confirm their waitlist status in order for then to be considered for acceptance in case someone declines an offer. Slots that become vacant are then offered to waitlisted applicants, which are prioritized using the same criteria for reviewing applications.
It is important to note that the letter of offer from the APMA program cannot be used to apply for a Thai student visa. A separate document will be issued to you once you accept the offer of place in the program.
Admission
After accepting the offer of placement in the APMA program, you will receive an official document called the Letter of Admission (LOA) from the Faculty of Graduate Studies of Mahidol University.
Official Verification of Academic Records
The following following documents are required to be submitted to the Faculty of Graduate Studies of Mahidol University.
- Diploma or certificate of graduation/degree
- Academic transcripts
- Certified official English translations of the above-mentioned documents (in case they are in a language other than English).
These documents must be sent by your previous university, and cannot be done by the student. It can be sent through either of two ways:

Official English Test Scores
If you submitted an English test score in your application, you will have to ask the test center to send an official copy of your test scores to Mahidol University. Scores should be sent directly to the Language Center, Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University.

Equivalency process
Thai education rules require an equivalency process of a student’s previous degrees and grades. To do this, you will have to fill out a form and send this as well as photocopies of your previous degree to the Thai Office of the Bureau of Higher Education Standard and Quality.

Enrollment
Students must register for the incoming semester within a prescribed period. Registration for courses is done online, at this page: FGS Student Services.
The APMA program will send instructions for enrollment and payment.
Visa Application
All foreign students are required to apply for an Education Visa. As each country has different requirements in applying for a Thai student visa, please check the website of the Royal Thai Embassy in your country.
IMPORTANT: Education Visas must be obtained before students arrive in Thailand, otherwise you will have to apply in another country at your own expense if you arrive without the required visa. There is no domestic process for education visa applications.
